After the success of its dinner in the dark, Dans le Noir? and Rydges Auckland are celebrating their 2 year anniversary with a new and original concept: Otra Vista Social Club, a Silent Dance Party organized in association with Deaf Interpreting New Zealand.
DANCING IN SILENCE?
On Thursday 21st and Saturday 23rd March, another unique experience will be waiting for you!
Night owls join our silent dance party to learn some basics of sign language!
Grab a headset and dance to music offered by Trevor Palupe-Grant from Limelight DJ & Entertainment playing 2 different playlists!
Come from 7 pm and catch the sunset from Rydges HOTEL rooftop, overlooking Auckland Harbour!
BUT HOW TO COMMUNICATE WITH HEADPHONES ON YOUR EARS?
Communication using facial expression, body language and gesture may be totally new for you but it will help you to take another perspective and think outside of the box!
This time, Deaf people will be your leaders and will teach you sign language! Practice with them and come to our Silent bar to order your drinks and food.
WHERE DOES THE CONCEPT COME FROM?
Dans le Noir? Otra Vista Social Club started three years ago in our Dans le Noir? restaurants in London and Barcelona. A successful concept that Dans le Noir? and Rydges Hotel are proud to bring to New Zealand!
Working with Deaf Interpreting NZ, a part of the funds collected will be donated to the organization to provide training for Deaf people to become Deaf interpreters.
ARE YOU READY TO JOIN US?
Dancing in silence and communicating with sign language shows that disability is not to be seen as a problem but a chance! See you on the dancefloor!
